SRS Movie Review: Where the Wild things are

Posted in life on October 19, 2009 by srsbzns

I had to see this movie as it was one of my favorite books as a child and I liked how it was something that the children of today could relate but it was more of a book from my childhood.  Something that we as adults could appreciate.  The book was definetley a favorite of mine and the movie for once did not disappoint me.

I felt it was very true to the book while expanding and enhancing certain areas.  The animation was of course top notch as we have grown to expect from movies now a days.  The wild things blended seemlessly with the natural backgrounds and the not so natural backgrounds like the fortress.

The movie was one to pull on the heart strings from time to time.  Very emotional charged, you could connect with all the characters and what was going on.  I can say i haven’t felt as deeply emersed in a movie as I was this one in a long time.  Such strong character development made you really get the feel that they were all children, Max as well as the Wild things.

I would definitely say if you remember the book as a kid go see this movie.   You will not in anyway be disappointed.  I have no complaints at all.  Even the odd soundtrack blended seemlessly and brought you into the movie even more. An extrordinary un-ordinary movie.  Definitely a movie that our generation needs to see.

Get three virtually brand new Nankang 235/35/18 tires from a friend.  FREEE can you beleive this FRRREEEE

Oh and look got the wing off.  its 36* off i pulled it of with my shear bulging muscles.  The wing is designed where you could just use the double stick tape cause the air pressure basically only pushes the wing onto the car more

Test fitting Faux Pas: Zees wing

Posted in cars on October 16, 2009 by srsbzns

Test fitted the Zees wing today.  Didn’t have any help so I used a little 3m double sided tape. Same stuff that fails to hold my side skirts on….

Now for the Faux pas……. the wing wont come off.  That double sided tape has it on there, so much so i’m afraid of damaging the wing or the trunk lid.  REAL TALK.
Looks like the trunk lid is coming of to get the wing sprayed.  lol

This is a little something for you drinkers out there.  Not really for people who binge drink or become sloppy retarded messes.  This is more of the sophisticated mans drink.  However a few of these and you will find yourself quite relaxed after a long day.

I came up with this because i found that Gin and tonics ordered at a bar just never got to me.  I could generally have 2 or three and feel nothing but a need to urinate.

What you are going to do is in a rocks glass place a perfect thin round lemon slice and a bit thicker lime slice.  Not a wedge.  I find wedges pulp to much but don’t really allow all the juice to diffuse into the drink.  If you cut nice thin slices you perserve your nice clean looking drink and also break all the pieces of pulp on the fruit releasing the juices.  Then add your ice.  I like the clear wet ice produced by highend ice makers because the cubes are small and look a lot nicer than crescent or the traditonal large bulky tray cube.  Now fill the glass just over half full of gin.  Yes over HALF FULL.  Thats just over two shots or 500ml.  I prefer Bombay Sapphire from my Gin mainly because its not too “piney” in large doses.  Next add your tonic.  I buy the Polar Brand Tonic because it comes in nice small 8 0z cans in a 6 pack.  That way there you can always have a nice new fresh drink rather than 2 days later having to use stale flat tonic out of an opened bottle. Do not mix.

Now sit back and enjoy your SRS Gin & Tonic 500mL (of gin) or the  SRS GT500

Extreme disappointment

As some of you know I work in the residential kitchen industry.  Mainly high end appliances.  I am going to take this time to warn my friends and future customers about an issue I am having with one of my high end companies.  That company is pictured below.  I am not going to mention the name of the company but I believe you can recognize the brand in the picture of the range below.  Why am I so upset you ask?

A high end customer ordered a custom range a VDSC536-6b-bk.  A 36″ dual fuel professional range in black and chose  this company because of their name and quality over another huge high quality professional residential appliance company.  The range arrived missing one of its ball bearing racks, missing its island trim backguard and with the front covered in scratches.  This was a custom order that took 3-4 weeks to recieve.  The item was packaged perfectly so it had been placed in the box damaged and missing these peices knowingly by an employee at the manufacturer.

I contacted the company and they were very nontulant about this disgrace.  When a customer chooses a high end company and pays almost $10000 for one of their products they expect good customer service.  Instead all I could tell them was that I was truly sorry and the manufacturer was going to take 3-4 weeks to get this issue fixed.  I can under stand the door taking 3 week because it was a custom order.  I cannot however understand the item being packaged like this, missing parts and damaged.  This is not how “one of the best in the industry” should operate. I can also not understand it taking 3-4 weeks for them to ship me the missing items such as the island trim and the rack.  These are regualr stock items.

This is the range only in a stainless steel version

Well I’m going to do a small run of t shirts for fall this year and do a run of  hoodies as well seeing as how its getting cold.  Prices are based on if i can get 10 customers for each design.

possible t shirt design $20  $23 for XL, 2XL, 3XL

Hoodie design $35.   $38 for XL, 2XL, 3XL

post up suggestions, criticisms etc.  IF you would lseriously like to buy a shirt at the end of this month post so.  AS soon as I have 10 people i will order some shirts or hoodies and take payment. I could also do either print on a shirt or a hoodie just reverse the cost.
