SRS Movie Review: Boondack Saints: All Saints Day
Most people out there do not know what this movie is or where it came from. This is actually the sequel to the first movie that came out in 1999. When I first heard they were making a sequel to the first movie which stars two brothers as Catholic Irish American fraternal twins, Conner and Murphy MacManus, who become vigilantes after killing two members of the Russian Mob in self-defense I was exstatic. The first movie was such a great movie mixing comedy with great shoot em up scenes. It seemed to gain a cult following almost. The bigger down was All Saints Day the sequel to the first movie was only supposed to be released in a limited number of cities. The closest sity to me being The Big Apple which was close to 4 hours away. Bummer. After a week or so they added more cities and Albany NY made it into the mix.
I will tell you that if you did not see the first movie or were not a fan of the first movie you should not go see this one. This movie was specifically made for fans of the first movie. It explained a lot more of the past of the boys father and contained a lot of humor that unless you had seen the first film would go rite over your head.
Now if you were a fan of the first movie I say you have to go see this one. I will without a doubt say that this is a must see. Lots of awesome action, lots of laughs. A good movie to go to with the Bros
