An Exotic Lifestyle Blog of Manliness

Srs Valentine’s Day

Cooked Lobster dinner at home for the big day. Niether of us really felt like going out and over paying for a mediocre meal in a packed restaurant.

I made sauted asparagus with a little salt and sugar in vegie oil. Cooked them in a frying pan just kind of quick maybe 5 minutes so they were still crisp. Our lobsters we bought at the market and got steamed for free. Cooked the mashed potatos with milk sour cream and chives.

The wine was a cheap Pinot Noir. I like reds alot and she like lighter wines so the PN was perfect $20 cause were not huge wine snobs. I am a little but not that much.

    • I had never cooked asparagus without a steamer before so I was a little worried about sauteing them, but with the decent quality oil we had and a little sugar they kept their flavor quite nicely
